So ive got an interview tomorrow as i need money for petrol when i pass my test and stuff.
What should i wear to it? I dont really know, i have black shoes and black trousers but not sure about the top half.

Any ideas?

yep, Wear a suit with a white shirt and a regular tie. Be sure you shoes are polished, its noticed.
Good Luck(y)

A shirt :) Is it an actual interview or one of these group days they use to weed out the good from the bad? If it's a group day, just be sociable :D If it's an interview, review your application form and be friendly and confident. Good luck (y)

Definitely a shirt and tie, tucked in properly! Tie best be put on and tightened properly :D Up to you really if you wear a suit jacket or just a casual/smart jacket on top, I don't think that would make much difference for an interview at Morrisons.

Hope all goes well for you & good luck!

And make sure your hair sees a comb/brush.
Call me old-fashioned, but some of those dopey gets on telly wouldn't get a look in if I were interviewing - especially the likes of Llewellyn Bowen 7 the scruffy so-and-so on Channel 4.
TBH, a suit doesn't bother me - not everyone has/can afford a suit so something clean and smart - if you are chavvy / Goth / grungy (or whatever) don't think the interviewer will be impressed by 10" earrings or navel piercings or your latest tattoo.

You sure a tie is needed? Im only 17 after a part time job.

I'd say just a shirt some nice trousers and nice shoes, just look presentable but as it's a supermarket you don't have to go that dressed up. Just make sure you come across well.

As a 17 year old applying for a part time job I don't think you'll be expected to wear a suit, but make sure you turn up smartly dressed (I'd recommend a shirt and tie as well - it doesn't hurt, and the interviewer will be impressed that you made an effort) and most importantly,TURN UP ON TIME!. Arrive 5-10 minutes (no more) before your interview, shake hands with your interviewer when you meet them and maintain eye contact.

Try and answer all the questions they ask honestly and without hesitating or going "ummm". They will almost certainly ask you why you want the job so think of a good response to that one - "My mum told me to get a job" isn't a valid reply :). They will also probably ask you if you've got any questions about the job, it's wise to think of a couple and to try and make them sound as if you're interested in furthering your career with the company, even if that's not really the case - companies want their staff to be loyal, because recruiting is a pain in the arse. For example "Do you think this could lead to a full time position?", "Will I be able to learn new skills that will be useful to me in future?". That type of stuff always goes down well, at least it does with me when I'm conducting interviews.

HTH and good luck!

Cheers,

Plug

As long as you are able to tie your own sholaces you should be alright! :p
Just be presentable. If you're looking for a first job as an ambient replenishment assistant they won't be expecting you to turn up in a suit. Remember that when they ask if you have any questions for them, it's a two-way interview - you are also interviewing them to make sure it's a job you want.
