Styling MK2 Bumper Help!

Could i CC this with my car do you reckon? and how hard are they to fit ?

Thats just a standard front bumper,so should be easy to fit
cc'd can be done by yourself if you have a spray gun but any paint shop would be able to do it

could i do it without a spraygun ? or would it be a bit crap? i know this is a hard question to answer, but have you any clue how much it could cost to get it sprayed?

erm.. you could paint it yourself with spray paint but the finish just wouldnt look that good.but you could try


I would say 100-150 quid to get a bumper sprayed.so if you dont have the money you could have a go at painting it yourself and then if it goes wrong just save for it done professionally

The plastic it's made from paint doesn't stick to easily. Needs to be properly prepared

Soo its going to be a professional job, hmm not sure what to do now, i have the silly looking elx bumper on mine.. im not too keen on it.

I might try CC'ing mine...

What other bumpers are there out there, that arent stupid looking, Abarth seems a bit too expensive for my liking..

maybe try going to a breakers yard or looking on ebay for ones already painted in your car colour then all you have to do is fit them

Looks like a 2b bumper.

If you are planning on colour coding then get a second hand bumper that came painted from the factory. These can be resprayed to a better quality than the black plastic versions.

What colour car is it? Don't forget for front bumper you can get it from 3 door or 5 door from mk2 or mk2b. All fit fine

Rear Bumpers from a Mk2 and 2b with the same number of doors will fit.

Front bumpers from either 3 or 5 door Mk2's will fit.

Front Bumpers from a Mk2b won't fit a Mk2.

If the bumper is in primer you can get it painted from £100. Dont bother with rattle cans the finish will be patchy to say the least.
If its made from grey polypropylene, paint wont stick - nothing does (its even used for superglue bottles).
If its fibreglass (ad does say "aftermarket") walk away. While very strong stuff, it wont deform very much so the surface cracks at the slightest bump.
