The motor is most certainly fine. On this model it does not have those relays that would get toast anymore. If battery voltage and main ground are ok and you're still having trouble, the culprit is most probably the Steering Angle Sensor located on the column. It's code is HOFFER 8093051. I see in other post that you need a new alternator now. After replacing the alternator, if the problem persists, the sensor is the one you should check. Of course, you can connect a tester first and you shod have the exact error stored, which is probably related to the sensor's signal/voltage. After you install the new sensor you'll need to align it (set it) using the diagnose tool.
