Panda Midget4hire's Panda 100HP.

Introduction

As the punto has gone I had to look for a new car, with my job depending on having a car it had to be decided fairly quickly. I spent a day or so looking around online and the suggesstion of a panda 100hp was thrown in.
I made a quick call to the insurance company to see what it would cost. Luckily enough, even though its the same engine size and power its 3 insurance groups lower than the punto. So it hasnt cost much to change it over.

I collected the car on Saturday morning from Chesterfield
A few pics of it as it stands now

Re: Midget4hire's Panda 100HP

Go into the HU menu and you should be able to change the volume - does that enable you to hear the phone through the speakers?

tried it with interupt volume on full. still same.
From what ive read, using an Alpine AI net cable is the solution, i dont understand what it connects to though :s
i need to do some more research

Re: Midget4hire's Panda 100HP

Bluetooth fully linked using an alpine ai net cable then spliced into original wiring. All fully working.
Wired up some tweeters in to the front doors, need to upgrade the door speakers though.

Aiming to replace front brake pads before end of the month. Not sure which to go for though, any recommendations?

Greenstuff hands down

Thats what i thought, i had them before when i had the punto. Ive been pushed towards ferodo ds performance but green stuff are cheaper and from what ive seen, well rated
Other option is to get some ebc ultimax pads and buy greenstuff when i replace the discs later in the year

Re: Midget4hire's Panda 100HP

I had ultimax before. They faded pretty quickly tbh. If your replacing discs in a few months though i would go with ultimax till then as they are only £15-20.

Looking Gorgeous with the stripes and lowered! Havnt really rated the New panda until now as all Ive ever seen in the sky/baby blue 5 door 1.2 8v with a fat ginger lady in it haha. But I really really like this! Fly eye kit next?

I contemplated fly eyes but im not sure. Next is red wing mirrors

Re: Midget4hire's Panda 100HP

Whats it like on 0-60? and Long journeys?

Its not too bad considering its a 1.4
Think it was about 8.5 seconds, il double check at work tomorrow. We quarter miled it a few months back
Its not that good on long journeys, i get about 200-250 miles from a tank. Its a 35 litre tank though, so smaller than a lot of the other fiats

Re: Midget4hire's Panda 100HP

Car is looking really nice with the stripes. Im warming to theses Pandas quite a lot! Definatly on the short list for my next proper car. (y)

The exhaust videos almost sold it to me!
