After numerous repairs ( MASTER CYLinder etc see previous threads) I opened bonnet to see the brake/ clutch plastic holder floating about unsecured . is it still safe to drive????( the one on left drivers side)
looks like they broke it ,yet another botched job!
Only a loose cable tie where rubber hose joins the reservoir no jubilee clip etc .
What shall i do ??
Booked in at a proper garage but not till next week
Shall I not use it till then?
jossie

If its the clutch its less of an issue than the brakes so if you can secure the reservoir with some cable ties or even garden tying wire as long as its secure and upright it should be fine to drive for a few days. It must be secured as brake fluid can strip car paint, and if you loose the fluid the clutch will not work and you ay be stranded

Here is the reservoir

Tape the reservoir to the bulkhead, with a bit of foam between. Cut the cable tie and re secure to the bracket. Take the plastic bit from behind the bolt may give you better room.
You just don't want the reservoir to run dry so carefully driving should be ok.
Keep an eye on it.

Your advice is indeed much appreciated

Or use some chunky double sided sticky pads then use two cable ties in a criss Cross pattern keeping the top and container vertical.
Other option use a jubilee clip round the reservoir and either a couple of cable ties or another jubilee clip to hold the larger one to the bracket so they sit at right angles to each other
