Technical Lost MAP

Hi all, I have a 09 Ducato x250 120 multijet, I was taking out the MAP sensor to clean or replace and it snapped off and left the plastic sensor in the hole, when I tried to hook it out of course it dropped in, my question is does the manifold have to come off or as its a small plastic part will it just get eaten by the engine??.

Same thing today. I let it eat it. had a temp prob with throttle body but cleared soon

I would be taking the manifold off.

You might get away with it, you might snap a valve or rocker arm or destroy a piston…..

I would cheat and use a piece of say 4mm hose on a reducer from a vacuum cleaner and working this into the manifold and seeing if I can get it out that way before removing the manifold. I have a car grooming thing it goes on a vacuum with a thin hose which came from eBay or amazon that would be just the thing.
