progress been much slower than it should've been, been busy with other things and lost motivation. viv headed round tonight to attack the sump and other bits whilst i carried on playing with the bloody electrics.

so, sump is on - as is the exhaust system now.

injectors are now wired in.

this is how it looks inside now. the internal wiring for the gauges is all done, the wiring loom inside is fully wired just needs tidying up. LC1 is plumbed in and calibration stuff added to the dash (look near the baby changing area)

that's it for now.

things left to do.

Time engine.
Connect gauge sensors.
Check electrical system.
Check pipes/clips etc.
Plug spare fuel pipe.
Fit rear pads.
Fit breather system.
Bleed braking system.
Make spark / fuel maps.

soon.. soon..

Good to see that it hasn't beaten you!!!!!

with big conversions it seems like one low after another I know i have been there and it is only your "life position" and motivation that make it happen

TBO arc i would just work on getting the bloody thing back on the road even if that meant doing the rear brakes etc later as you need to have a win to keep your motivation (especial after what is it 7 months now?).

If you need a days labour let me know, (I could drop the rest of the family in blackpool and then spend the rest of the day doing somethng i enjoy;)

things is though, like with the rear brakes - i binned all the old stuff.. i thought tidying the garage would motivate me one day!

thanks for the offer, might have to take you up on it if anything else goes wrong with it - cos that might be the final straw for me!!

it'll be 7 months at the end of may, yeah. :( hey - it saved me 6months tax though!! :D

ok done freak me out with saying projects can take over 3years etc. I've just almost (starter motor wont work) just rebuilt a 130 k miles rover 220 turbo coupe in just 6-7weeks and I'm kinda chuffed at that, since I've never even driven it yet, as I bought it of my bro as a none runner.

However what your scarying me with is that Gex sei has been sat outside for at least months now and has never been touched once!

Almost there Arc, keep working with that solidering iron!

ok few steps forward, few back today.

I was working on the electrics again and viv was taking the old cam belt etc off ready to time the engine and fit new stuff. The engine would not turn by the crank sprocket though. Very odd i thought, so i had a look. It would turn and then jam. Great i thought, somehow the engine has partially seized. If it had.. that would've been it i think, bye bye car. I turned it back and forth a few times and felt it clouting something near the flywheel. My flywheel cover and bellhousing are a bit beaten up, so i thought it might just be loose. It wasn't. The noise was from the sump.

My oil return was in the way of the crank, and that was why i couldn't turn the engine over.. so that had to go.

Exhaust and sump are off again. Engine is timed. Battery connections are done, rear seats are fitted.

so now i need a more slimline way of mounting the oil return, or need to patch the hole up.
