Hi all, so I was going to post this under classified>> wanted section but thought I would have a punt here first

My 500F has 4 x Standard steel wheels fitted and no spare. I may be revisiting the wheels further down the line anyway and I know I could just carry a couple of tyreweld cans but seeing as predominantly will be my wife's drive I would feel more comfortable having a spare for that interim period. I was wondering if anyone has a spare wheel and tyre which is currently making like garden ornament or collecting dust in the corner and they want shot of :)

I am in Essex so happy to pick up if there is one not a million miles away , doesn't need to be a masterpiece but if it holds air - bonus

Many thanks - as I say worth a shot

I didn't know that you can use a "tyreweld" on a tubed tyre--how do you get the "tyreweld" into the flat tube? I ask this because the 500 and Mk1 (594cc) 126 wheels have all got to be used with a tube--they do not have the ridge in the wheel which keeps the tyre rim on the wheel, unlike a "tubeless" wheel which does.

Actually, thats a really good point clearly made. The previous owner said they carried a couple of cans as no spare but you have got me thinking now whether that would have even been an option. I know that the new tyres from Longstone can run tubeless but they advise to use an inner tube because of the lack of ridge you mention..

I have a spare spare wheel, although as of 18months ago I am now based in Dublin so possibly not much help. Don’t tell the VRT people here as I had to pay per tyre that I brought in and they missed this one…..

Thanks, that's a shame I was in Dublin at Christmas time I could have brought it back as hand luggage 🤣 . Thanks for replying but a little too far

Individual wheels do pop up on ebay from time to time; just avoid paying silly money for one if you go down that route.
