Afternoon everyone,

In tribute to our wonderful Italian beasts that are the 500's, I did a sort of Italian tune-up last night. The reason I say sort of is because it wasn't like a pro really!:D

Although ours has done nearly 7k now, its acceleration was quite lumpy which is probably due to the amount of very small journeys it had done over the past three weeks (prob added no more than 30 miles), so I took it out for a little spin last night.

Anyway, once the engine was fully warmed up I took it up to 5,500 revs in 2nd and 3rd gear on the dual carriageway (didn't go past 70mph, haha!) and the difference around town now is really noticeable; the power feels much more even again.

Obviously everyone will have their opinions as to what they would do (some might say I'm stating the bleedin' obvious!) but for those of you who do a lot of short journeys and are suffering with poor acceleration, this may help.

Did one of these on my Junior yesterday, it seemed rude not to, with such fine weather(y)

maddogmorg, whats the car in you signature? I'm guessing something from the 1960's or 70's and maybe Italian?
