Just had a few minutes to cut the black Perspex for the front, I need to work out the mounting etc of the satnav before I domicile more rubbing down in case anything needs to change

Has anyone come across a car paint company that can mix paint to match a sample? Halfords will do it to a paint code, but I've not found anyone in the uk yet that can match a sample....

These guys will do just that. Cost is £10 plus the price of the paint .

as long as you give updates by email and 2 weeks before delivery say, extreme weather (on the kitchen table) has delayed shipment

Mine was delayed by the transporter breaking down and arrived the day before I was due to be driving it on holiday!

So what are you complaining about :bang: . Mine was promised on the 5th of January (before I went back to work after Christmas) and I got it on the 1st Feb, if it had been delayed any longer I would have had a '13' reg car. Not that it matters anymore as I have a private plate on it now .

Yay, had to put this to one side whilst looking after my wife following a bad break of her leg... Now back on course, have ordered the paint to finish it and am tinkering with the way the shroud meets the air vent part, I've had a couple of goes at making that look right!

Integrated Sat Nav project - updated

Well I finally managed to get the radio out after throwing away the halfords removal tools and waiting for some to come from ebay for 99p...

This has allowed me to do a test fit which I did this evening and then drove home with it in place to test it 'felt' right..

I can see and reach the satnav just as easily in the new position, and it takes less out of the windscreen than when mounted on the B&M mount, and I have found that I can angle the shroud back a little more too which will reduce the silhouette even more

(Excuse any rough edges etc, and the finish is just primer at the moment so no colour match yet....)

Yes, but I needed the test fit to get the angle right. I will be moulding some textured plastic card.
