daughter been ask if she can fly to scotland, monday for two weeks, she has no passport and reckons she cant use no other photo id, she be flying from norwich with either bmi or eastern air lines, can anyone find out or do you know if she can use other id?

thanks

Not sure how correct this is, but I found the info below regarding internal flights. Seems that you need a government issued photo ID, which pretty much narrows it down to a passport or a driving licence for UK citizens.

Is Custard up to something with your daughter Dave? :eek: ;) :p

Now one thing you need to make sure you have is an item of photo ID or you're not flying. I got myself a CitizenCard, which is perfectly acceptable for internal UK flights, this is a list taken directly from the site, of what is acceptable ID for internal, UK flights.

Acceptable forms of Photographic ID are:
* A valid passport - (an expired passport can be used up to a maximum of two years after expiry (UK to UK only).
* Valid photographic EU or Swiss national identity card
* Valid photographic driving licence
* Valid armed forces identity card
* Valid police warrant card/badge
* Valid airport employees security identity pass
* A child on parent' s passport is an acceptable form of ID
* CitizenCard
* Valid photographic firearm certificate
* Valid Government-issued identity card
* SMART card
* Electoral identity card

Her best bet is a Passport or failing that a Provisional or full picture driving licence. Most of the other forms of ID listed are very specific and she's unlikely to have any of them unless she's a Cop, soldier, airport worker or Swiss national.
