Hello all. Newbie here.
Had to have the AA out to my 2006 Grande Punto 1.9 multijet today. Ran fine yesterday then today wouldn't start. AA came out, jump started it and thought it was battery as only read 5 volts before it was jumped. Gave it a 20 min run out once it was started but after sitting in Dad's for an hour, it wouldn't start again, this time couldn't be jumped either. The little amber car/padlock light was on the whole journey.
AA came out again, played about with it a bit, got it started and followed me home. Played about with it again before leaving. Result is he's certain it's an immobiliser fault. I've attached the email they sent me.
Do those codes mean anything to anyone? Have visions of this costing me a small fortune and wondering if it's worth it
