Anyway bravo's i have already spotted a lovely bravo in black but I'm a little put off by the red interior, it is just an active 1.4, I won't be buying it but I've conned a test drive out the guy to see how it feels. I sat in the driving seat and it felt like home. Like being back in my punto. If not slightly higher up. It has a weird driving position but I'll get used to it. Anyway Is the red interior in the black cars only? if so I may have to avoid a black one lmao. The active doesn't have many toys like people have mentioned looks like I will definitely be going with dynamic. A question though, does the sport have any exterior upgrades?
If it was advertised as Active but had a red interior then it was most likely an Active Sport. It's specced as the Active (ie manual aircon, Blue&Me & steering controls not standard) but with the seats/interior of the Sport spec and the black 17" alloys from the Sport.
Main difference is that unlike the Sport which came with the 1.9 150 Multijet and (I think) both 120 & 150 T-Jets, the Active Sport only came with the 1.4 90bhp and 120 engines, and the 120bhp diesel. It's basically a Sport to look at, but with slightly less kit & the option of cheaper engines. There's not many about and many of them are incorrectly advertised as just 'Active' I've noticed - if it's got the Sport alloys and seats but a 90 or 120bhp engine, chances are it's an Active Sport
Black cars can have either red/black or blue/black seats. Maserati Blue is fitted with just blue/black seats and Maranello Red (burgundy red) is fitted with just red/black seats. There's also a couple of shades of grey on the Sport/Active Sport but unsure whether these come with just one interior combination or both. Sport had the option of leather, but don't think Active Sport did.
Dynamic has the most gadgets like climate control, but looks a bit more family and less sporty because it's got smaller alloys (16" standard, 17" option), chrome door handles instead of body coloured, less bolstered blue or grey seats (leather optional) instead of black & red or blue & red sport seats, no side skirts etc. Sport dropped some of the gadgets but gained bigger wheels (17" standard, 18" optional), side skirts & a couple of other visual tweaks. Build quality is general a lot better than the Grande Punto, but the driving position isn't as natural as the GP, as you've noticed.
