the turbo petrol is pretty brutal on launch, especially in SPORT mode

The fact mine is only 120 brake and has the auto box probably helps also.

Only tends to be in wet or greasy conditions I kick mine off.

yea a car skiidding logo in orange flickers

A right so a different light to the ASR flashing light then?

same light, and the car starts bleeping at you telling you that your bucket of takent is now empty and firing individual brakes ;)

Ah right, I've had that once then, 50 mph and around a roundabout taking the same road exit to that I came on - was fun, the Corsa following (bit of road rage) didn't manage it in the same fashion. Not that I remember any beeping mind, but probably had the music turned up as usual.

Hey Matthew, I'm in Tipton too and got my Bravo from Second City Motors. None for sale at the minute as they just sold a couple, but they seem to get them in regularly.

I'd also recommend the Sport, (mines the 120bhp 1.4 tjet version) There aren't many other cars on the road that can beat it for looks.

Yeh it is a beautiful car. There was a lovely one at beechwood cars in Wednesbury. I'm just disappointing myself at the moment looking for one though, can't pick one up for at least another couple of months (girlfriends on maternity and she doesn't agree with spending a lot of money whilst she is of work "just in case".) but I am scoping my options. Seeing what garages are nice. I'm also looking at a private buy. So whenever one pops up in gonna take advantage and have a play in whatever models I can as they crop up. But thanks for letting me know about this company I've bookmarked their web page and ill take a look here and there

eBay I bought first Bravo private for bargain price and my current one from a dealer

Check history and condition either way, not much to be gained from buying from trader on an older car

Doesn't seem very accurate, according to that parking sensors, climate control, electric rear windows aren't even options on the sport? Mine has those.

As mentioned, check for any noise if you go for one with the m32 gearbox. Mine sounds like a faint grinding sound on the throttle on 5th and 6th and like a noisy wheel bearing when coasting. If you go for a skydome make sure it opens and closes quietly and smoothly. The sport suspension is hard, especially on 18" rims but the sport's leather interior is very nice.

But without so much of the Vauxhallness as the AGP :D
HA only just saw this post. I have hated Vauxhall's up to yesterday in all honesty. All the kids are driving round in new corsa's because mommy and daddy get those ridiculously cheap finance deals. (If you can't buy it you shouldn't own it). And astra's and vectra's are for chavs that forgot to grow up. And this insignia is a poor mans jag lmao. But I will admit the NEW Astra VXR is stunning. It's hard to admit it but it is beautiful. I don't like the GTC model it's got a weird moustache on the rear bumper. But the VXR is stunning.

Anyway bravo's i have already spotted a lovely bravo in black but I'm a little put off by the red interior, it is just an active 1.4, I won't be buying it but I've conned a test drive out the guy to see how it feels. I sat in the driving seat and it felt like home. Like being back in my punto. If not slightly higher up. It has a weird driving position but I'll get used to it. Anyway Is the red interior in the black cars only? if so I may have to avoid a black one lmao. The active doesn't have many toys like people have mentioned looks like I will definitely be going with dynamic. A question though, does the sport have any exterior upgrades?

If it was advertised as Active but had a red interior then it was most likely an Active Sport. It's specced as the Active (ie manual aircon, Blue&Me & steering controls not standard) but with the seats/interior of the Sport spec and the black 17" alloys from the Sport.

Main difference is that unlike the Sport which came with the 1.9 150 Multijet and (I think) both 120 & 150 T-Jets, the Active Sport only came with the 1.4 90bhp and 120 engines, and the 120bhp diesel. It's basically a Sport to look at, but with slightly less kit & the option of cheaper engines. There's not many about and many of them are incorrectly advertised as just 'Active' I've noticed - if it's got the Sport alloys and seats but a 90 or 120bhp engine, chances are it's an Active Sport (y)

Black cars can have either red/black or blue/black seats. Maserati Blue is fitted with just blue/black seats and Maranello Red (burgundy red) is fitted with just red/black seats. There's also a couple of shades of grey on the Sport/Active Sport but unsure whether these come with just one interior combination or both. Sport had the option of leather, but don't think Active Sport did.

Dynamic has the most gadgets like climate control, but looks a bit more family and less sporty because it's got smaller alloys (16" standard, 17" option), chrome door handles instead of body coloured, less bolstered blue or grey seats (leather optional) instead of black & red or blue & red sport seats, no side skirts etc. Sport dropped some of the gadgets but gained bigger wheels (17" standard, 18" optional), side skirts & a couple of other visual tweaks. Build quality is general a lot better than the Grande Punto, but the driving position isn't as natural as the GP, as you've noticed.

Active is entry like you say and Dynamic / Sport sort of sit along side each other, Dynamic having the toys and Sport the looks (body kit etc) and suspension (which some say is a tad to hard, I know it is for me from my experience of one).

What toys does the Dynamic have that the Sport doesn't?

I have a 2.0 Mjet Sport on a 59 plate, the only regret I have with it is that it doesn't have any optional extras, would of loved Xenons, Dual zone AC and an armrest. But there aren't many sports with any of those options ticked. Its certainly powerful enough to make the TC light flash a lot in the dry without trying!:D

I'm 21 with no claims etc and my insurance cost £620!(y)
