Non remote ones will be cheaper than remote ones, but if I were purchasing a replacement key, I'd get another remote.

You'll definitely find it loosens up over time, my Twin Air is just close to 1400 miles, and the difference is night and day between it now and when I picked it up. It feels as eager in ECO now as it did in normal mode when new, and it feels better every day. Great cars..

I shall have a poke around and see if the other key is in the car somewhere... pretty unlikely though :| I dread to think what a replacement non-remote key from Fiat costs..
I enquired at Fiat Direct the cost of a remote and a non-remote key. The remote key fob would cost around £230.00 whilst the non-remote would cost £150.00. Apparently, included in the price is a labour charge of about half an hour for the re-programming the code of the key.

Shop around is all I can say. No use in telling you of a dealer in North Wales who can do it at that price when you need one where you are.

Muffin - the prices you mentioned are in line with what I was told by Glyn Hopkin in St Albans.

I think prices in the South East are much too high. When I go to Shropshire and Flintshire, I shall make my enquiries before hand. ;)

You've got Hartwell in Chester and Stoneacre in Wrexham.

My one bit of advice for you would be to call ahead, mention that you've been quoted £160 by someone for a key and were just wanting to see what they could do.

Thank you so much for your advice, kind sir!(y)

Just a quick bump to say I've put about 150 miles on it since getting it and am so far very pleased with it!

Very pretty little thing, really like the interior (looks and quality wise), the instrumentation and stuff are really great and funky. Having a USB port for pen drives with MP3's is excellent.

Seems to handle quite nicely and is comfortable. Road noise is a little worse than I was expecting but nowhere near enough to bother me!

Haven't had a full test of economy yet but am taking a drive up to Grimsby with a friend this weekend (250+ mile round trip) so should be a good test. Will also take the car over 1,000 miles - boo hoo! :(

I also popped over to Fiat yesterday to pick up a set of carpets. Didn't realise there was one so close to me (2.9 miles) - and they knocked 10% off the RRP for me without me asking or anything, which was pretty decent of them! Interior looks much more complete with them fitted and they seem like nice quality :)
