Hi,

My 2001 1.2 Punto 8v ELX has recently suffered from crazy revving when its in neutral (usually happens after driving for 10mins) and also unstable rev when idle.

I have put enormous amount of time searching for cure on the web (as i am a student who cant afford to be ripped off by garage). I found its a common problem can is a good try to clean the idle control valve to start with. I have locate the IAC and check the wire connecting it and seems nothings wrong with the cable. So i decided to remove the IAC.....but i have problem removing it after disconnecting the cable and it seems to be different to the one which sale on ebay (as it dont have slots around it....). Can someone please give me advice on removing it??

I can supply photo if needed. Please help!!

Thanks very much:worship:

Airbox and TB need to be removed.

ICV is not removeable easily, best way is to clean in-situ.

I have to try the whole Throttle Body out to remove ICA???.............omg cant believe this (as i am new in DIYing)

Can someone provide a guide on removing the IAC from the 8v MK2 2001 Punto (best with picture)....Many Thanks
