no there the wires that go into the realy block that is bolted to the side of the heater box on the pic on this site! just im missing it so iv been doing my own by following page on here but its says nothing about 4x brown and white

Yes, I am running 14 inch wheels, had to do that to make room for bigger brake discs.

I posted some pics in the gallery, you can see more at

hi guys just a quick question iv had my ecu de immobilized for the panda but im not getting no spark is it because you still need the code box pluged in?

it seems that your immobiliser issue has not been removed at all. i have never found anyone able to remove the immobiliser off a 90's Magneti Marelli ECU without removing the chip and reprogramming it.

if you have the key still try holding it up to the code box's loop antenna. if you have tried that.. maybe the antenna is broken or the code box is not connected correctly.

remember that the code box and ECU MUST come from the same car. as the code box and ecu are both linked.

i have a few ECU's but sadly most are missing code boxes so i makes them totally useless. none from 16v engines sadly

you may be lucky and find that if you leave everything plugged in, but have the battery disconnected over night then try it again the next day it may work. (mine did this)

im missing all the wires to connect the code box (but i have still got it ) so iv left that all out as iv had it de immobilized, so your saying iv got to connect the code box up before it will start?

so if The code box uses 5 wires (the fifth is the punto immobiliser dash light). If you don't have the code box wiring plug a can tell you which ones to connect to? witch wires am i connecting thanks

red = battery +
orange = ignition +
black = earth
Grey/Green = to same colour wire on ECU (pin 7 if i remember right)
blue/white = to CODE light. never give this wire a live or an earth. only earth the light through this. if the light is connected to a battery + it will flash when the car ignition is off (like a security light) when you turn the ignition on this light will light up while it reads the chip on the key, then go out. if the light stays lit it means that the immobiliser has not been lifted. when you start the engine this light will not flash or stay lit (as it would be annoying).
i have set mine up so it flashes when the ignition is off as i think it looks good :D

can i buy something like a chip to plug in the ecu so i dont need the key+key reader or the code box? because i dont have the key reader thats the problem i think because im getting 12v to the coil then drop to 0v but nothing on turn over?

the engine should still turn over even if the car was "hot wired". key or no key.

that sound like a fault not involving the ECU.

have you made sure that the starter motor is connected to the same wire the panda engine starter motor (red wire) was connected to and NOT connected the new engine loom in any way?

the starter takes 2 wires a huge red cable directly from the battery, and a smaller red cable that connects to a spade connector. (if you give this spade terminal a + it will engage the starter and turn the engine over. (just make sure its not in gear!)

if you have used the original panda wiring the fault could be the ignition switch that is on the way out. however i dont think this would be the case as its not often they fail.

check the wiring on the back and let me know how it goes.
