super glue?

Probably more like a Pritt stick.... (n)

what if this happens on the highway going fast

You really don't want to know the answer to that question.... :(

I once saw it happen on the M5, in front of me, very early one morning. If there'd been more traffic, the guy wouldn't have been so lucky (he walked -- just...) -- nor would the traffic surrounding him....

In defence of remolds, usually they're OK. But, yeah, if done badly the new tread will seperate from the carcass.

Hopefully -- as with any tyre failure -- you have time to slow down, pull off the road, and put the spare on.

people who skimp on tyres are often the same ones who don't check pressures or use a home pump with a very inaccurate gauge, causes over heating, that makes remould fail more than an under inflated normal tyre imo

Theoretically remoulds are ok. A wise man told me to ignore the marked speed and load ratings and take them to be one or two levels lower. Queer things happen in tyre or any factories , I know ,I used to make tyres. Human nature being what it is you would wonder about what goes on when tyres of all things are built down to a price. I reckon by the time a good remould is done proper you're not far off a new tyre and why take the risk. True they are done for trucks , buses and aircraft but odds on the carcasses are not as old as car tyres when they are being remoulded.
