Dear fiat drivers,
My car used to drive quite differently with the old injectors:
First start was difficult, if I started it again nothing wrong. Driving in a traffic jam or in gear without accelerating was almost impossible. Then it was a real rocking horse.
Injectors cleaned (ultrasonic) helped a little but not much. So bought new injectors, starting is now smooth and the bucking/hobbling has stopped. However, when I step on the gas now the car accerates much more evenly, this benefits driving comfort. Only with my old injectors the car was much flutterier, at least the throttle response. How can this be? Were the injectors allowing more fuel through, making the car feel smoother, but also causing regular stalling at first start (cold) and jerking during traffic jams?
It takes some getting used to, but are the old injectors broken or is there a difference in injectors? The car is 23 years old and so are the old injectors.
