Very good
Good luck with it, I'd weld a nut onto the stud.....Hi I found the forum very useful also the feedback I got from my question I have found a way of removing my wheel nut which is to purchase a set of spine locking wheel nut removers
That's wat I was thinking but with the wheels been after market alloys the wheel nuts are for them wheels and there spline wheel nuts but this locking one has been rounded of inside. The spline locking nut removers start of on e bay at £35 I need the wheel of to get the strutt replaced then am going to the have to buy 16 replacement nuts for me them as don't like the style of them. But yes if get it welded there going to have to be a very good welder as limited room once nut on it.Good luck with it, I'd weld a nut onto the stud.....
Put abit of copper or aluminium over the wheel with a hole to weld through, it will help protect your alloy wheel from splatter from the welder. That's wat I was thinking but with the wheels been after market alloys the wheel nuts are for them wheels and there spline wheel nuts but this locking one has been rounded of inside. Thanks for your input there is no room to put socket over or hammer and chisell it round so do you mean get welder to weld nut on top of locking wheel nut ???? These nuts are horrid they are for the after market alloys and there is no spare wheel I am desperate to get this wheel off I'm going to have to buy a removal tool for the rest of the nuts, some have ten splines inside whilst this locking nut is different but splines on it have rounded inside so key tool would probably have nothing to grip to to turn it anyway.I think the welding way is only way forward to get it off .Put abit of copper or aluminium over the wheel with a hole to weld through, it will help protect your alloy wheel from splatter from the welder.
Would the weld have to be professional 9r could I just tack it at the sides were top nut sitsHi
