If my 2 Puntos were people they'd be at the gp surgery or hospital every week lol. Its a never ending train, of flashing bulb warning lights, boots that don't open, key fobs that stop working, etc. oh well lol They take turns in going bad so at least I always have one car on the road!
Oh god I haven’t got that far into the experience yet😂 my boot didn’t open and hazards just flashed turned out the connector wasn’t clipped in properly. When you say key fob do you mean it takes about 5 clicks of the lock button to lock sometimes? That’s the issue I’m having now and I thought it was the battery🤔

My key fob stopped being recognised by the ignition properly, so basically the immobiliser would come on sometimes leaving me unable to start the car! What a drama that was! lol I had to get a new key, and couldn't stomach the £150 for a new remote fob, so now have a non-remote key.

Its easy to change the battery in a fob, so i presume you've done that. You can pretty easily open the key up and take a look at the button on the circuit board to see if its dirty/stuck. But this being a Punto you'll likely find there's no fixing this, other than getting a new key.

Oh no I only paid £400 for the car😂 I had the immobiliser light once when i was driving but went off after I got out and started again. I haven’t changed the battery yet but I will do if causes me issues.

Thats a fine price to pay for a Punto! Mine were £600 and £800, i've had about 25,000 miles out of the pair in the year so far. Not too bad, but there's been a fair amount of maintenance thats continuing...:D

He wanted £500 but I knocked him down to £400 it’s done 105k miles though but still runs surprisingly well. The only thing is the sills are getting a bit rusty now but it’s not gone through and still seems structurally sound. I only bought it to last me until I get another car but I’m starting to like this quite allot 😂

I've had both of mine about a year. I bought one with 80k on the clock which is now 90k. The other I bought at 90K and its about 105K now.

I may have accidentally put a jack through my sills. Adds to the lived in look lol

Oops those poor sills lol. Unfortunately when I bought mine someone drove the speakers that hard all of them are split all round lol I’m thinking of getting some alpine ones full set front and rear for £100 includes the brackets and connectors also but it’s my first time changing speakers so probably won’t go too well lol

The cheaper Punto i bought came with a front window regulator broken and consequent permanent air conditioning! When I fixed it I put the contacts for the button on the wrong way, so now up is down lol. And ... I didn't put the speakers back properly so they now crackle lol. I've been meaning to re-do the door, but I have so much maintenance costing money it's not a priority:)

lol. I think mine might need some spending tbh. Checked the oil and doesn’t look that bad but smelt it and it stinks of petrol and the viscosity looks thinner than it should be 😟

The car's worth an oil change, the filter is £6, the oil about £14. You can then monitor it and this will give you an idea of how fast petrol is getting in there.
Sorry for the late reply again lol. Yeah will probably get it done before the MOT On 9th November. After checking the oil again I was incorrect it does in fact look very old and black so will get that done. On Saturday both my headlights went out again just randomly for about 5 seconds haha. The dashboard lights stayed on so not the switch. Very strange 😂
