Styling Help with Colors?

Too funny! I was a systems analyst many years ago and quite good at it. I seem fine helping organize other people's ideas except for my own!
So you know the dangers of over analysing - trust your instinct
I've decided on the Lounge, BNW (Bianco here) with heated leather seats, ivory ambience, and the upgraded wheels. Color of the leather yet to be determined.
So that's the Sport model out of the way - the classic look is now decided.
I'm kind of liking this interior, but I want to see it in person at the showroom. May opt for gray. Considered red, but might get sick of it. If they have one there, I would love to see what it looks like in person. Our seats here are different, not as nice with the piping.

The tan with the piping is a lovely 'touch' and makes it upmarket. It's unlkely that your retrofit guys will get the same finish.
At my dealership - sorry "Studio", they do aftermarket leather in basically any color you want. The Fiat leather seats are $1,500 just for the seats the after-market are $1,699 for heated leather. They do nice with stitching that adds just that little bit of detail.
The price on the leather compared to European prices is high - cann't understand it.
The only remaining questions is sunroof or not. I think not. I will sit in/drive a sunroof today, but I don't want that cramped feeling that the cars with the sunroof have (to me anyway). Plus not so sure I want to spend another $850. I hardly ever use the one in the car I have now.
Since you''re getting the glass roof it is not value for money to go for the moonroof. I get the impression that you're not too bothered about wanting able to open it. Climate (auto temp) would be nice but it's a package at $650 so you could skip this.
We can add leather to the Pop here since it's aftermarket. But the Lounge offers so much more - Security System, Fog Lights (is this the Xenon everyone talks about?), Bose Audo, Auto Temp, and 6-Speed Auto.
Just noticed you get the Auto temp on the Lounge - is this the Climate control ?
I also, as you know, seriously considered the Cabrio, but it just isn't practical and the Lounge has more of what I want - leather and heated seats in particular for the same price.
Still feel that the moonroof is the way to go but I wouldn't pay the €850 on top of the Lounge price since they have packaged the glass roof into the price.
Going to the dealer later today. Will see how it plays out....
If the Sport model with the half leather came in the Classic shape of the Lounge and the Pop - would you have gone for this ?

Thanks again.

The fact that Dealers are offering a retro fit service for leather shows that whoever devised the options list for the US 500 got it wrong.

Happy hunting today.

I just got back from the dealer and we took out a BNW Twinair (pop - they didn't have a lounge TA in) with the ivory interior (and red seats) and it is a very nice combination, I can't really see that it would date.

Was it red leather or cloth?

Loveshandbags - yes, I would have gone for the Sport (I shouldn't say that until I drove it) but the thing that turned me off the most was the wheels. They looked too "masculine". The car in general did.

I loved the seats, and think it's good value for money. Just wasn't "me".

I figure if I can't have the sunroof than I at least want the glass roof. I may reconsider the Pop with sunroof, however, as the difference between the Pop and Lounge is about $1550 and the sunroof is $850, so still a savings. That is a Pop with the Bose Pkg which includes the Security System. Only thing I wouldn't have them with the Pop is the Auto Temp and Fog Lights. Don't know if that's a big deal.

Yes, I would love to be able to open the roof - why I loved the Cabrio so much. But not at the price of feeling claustrophobic in the car with the sunroof.

One more look. Hopefully this is it...

I had those (hard to re-furbish) wheels on the 1.4 Sport and they are masculine and suit the image of the racey Abarth lookalike look - great for re-sale. Strong interest in Europe on this model and Chinese guys are importing them - men. Fiat are appealing to the males to will buy them for themselves rather than their wifes (apologies to anyone on FF for this).

IMHO these seats are my first choice. No 'danger' of sagging on the base although quite a few on here have had no issues.

Go for the Lounge. Better than a Pop with extras for re-sale. Some people specially ask for a Lounge because they know they will get the glass roof.

If the wheels were changed on the Sport to steelies (I know it sounds terrible) - some have done it here on their Lounge models - you will probably need them anyway with winter tyres for the crap weather you get - would it suit ? These basic wheels (steelies with hub caps) should not cost much.
One more look. Hopefully this is it...

I know I'm twisting your arm - did you look at a previous posting I made about the 'special offer' being done on the first 100 Sports (it came from a guy who has placed an order from China). Sometimes re-sale and getting what you would cause conflicts. My particular model was bought primarily as an interim stop gap until 'I may never get an Abarth' and it was done for re-sale but I really like it and can live with the 'hard to clean seats'.

I don't think people are all that worried about resale.

I'm sorry, but it's just not an attractive colour. We've got a bathroom which is Ye Ye Green and when we get around to getting it done you're more than welcome to take away the Ye Ye coloured bath, basin and tiles!

Regarding CCCAB and Tropicalia yellow, around where we live there are slightly more yellows than blues so I very much suspect over the whole of europe, yellow sells better hence why the blue got canned.

Haha, thanks for the offer of the bathroom suite! I'm quite tempted, though I'd prefer those turquoise ones you sometimes see. I was at the dump the other day and someone was just in the process of flinging a turquoise sink into one of the containers - I told them it was a pity because I would honestly have taken it off their hands if I hadn't already got there too late. Trust me they'll be back in fashion soon!:)

My opinion on the Tropicalia Yellow is that it is more of an iconic Fiat colour and that's why they are keeping it, but they are a very rare sight here in London.

Went to the dealer today. Putting a deposit down.

Final decision:

Lounge with "Luxury package" - which includes leather, heated seats, and backup sensors.

This is the color scheme I chose. I wanted these wheels - really wanted them - but they were $300 and I had to cut somewhere.

The wheels are like the ones on the white car in this picture.

I'm having the chrome side mirrors swapped to solid white. I like the chrome on the rest of the car, just not on the mirrors.

I did not get the sunroof. Not only for cost, I just don't like the lack of headroom. Guess I'm too used to my volvo and have forgotten how "tiight" the MG was, but I like it better without. Hopefully I won't regret it.

I originally passed this car by - didn't think I liked the color leather. Looked at a black leather with black ambience - too dark, and red leather with ivory ambience - didn't like it. Went back to this car, sat in it, and really decided I liked it.

I even sat in a Cabrio again, and even though I really, really love them, I dislike not being able to see out the back mirror with the top down. I also am getting more in the Lounge than I would in a Pop Cabrio which is all I would be able to swing.

It's different without being too different. I may in the end decide to pony up for the wheels I want. In the end, it's not alot, and I intend to have the car awhile. Yes, I have been talking resale because you never know, but I plan to keep this awhile.

I'm happy with my decision. The car feels right. Feels like me, although the real me would have a sunroof if there was more headroom! Still, I love it, and feel good about it. Can't wait to get it now - 6-8 weeks....

Which are the "wavey" ones? The ones I'm getting or the ones that are $300?

Tbh I think they're different to the ones on the white car, the white car is a 500c and has the "wavey" wheels and the wheels that come standard on the US 500 lounge are U spokes, different wheel.
