Hi everyone
My 500L 2016 audio system keeps turning off and then coming back on again.
It’s lost all Bluetooth connectivity too.
I’ve been quoted £1599 to purchase a new system 😳
Is there anyone out there know what the problem is? 🤔
I wondered if it might be a Uconnect update, but Uconnect no longer exists.
How do I update the system, if that’s what it needs? 🤔
Please, any ideas?

I can't help with the problem, but you won't need a new system to fix that. Get quotes from several auto-electricans.

Mine died some time ago. It was stuck playing radio 2. Fiat wouldn’t look at it and only offered to stick a new one in. After a lot on whinging I got it at 50% because the fault was intermittent before 3 years. I’ve still got the original unit and had considered sending it for repair (some adverts online for this service) and then selling it on. But never got round to it.

There are fairly cheap replacement 500L specific units on eBay that offer Android auto and Apple CarPlay. They say they work with the steering wheel controls, offer gps/satnav and may or may not give access to the vehicle settings.

The other thing to watch out for is a flashing odometer. This indicates the unit needs to be paired to the car. I guess you would need a Multiecu analyser for this.
