Can anyone say if the cables to the RH headlamp etc. (as viewed when sitting in car) are routed through the bracket for the front locker catch?
Also there are two sizes of original wiper blades listed. I am using the original arms which are on narrow spindles.
Thanks. Peter.

Sort of I don't think they actually go through but behind. There should be little bend over metal clips along the top lip of the front panel on the inside that holds the loom in place. I can get you a picture tomorrow if you want?

As for the wiper blades I am not sure I bought mine from VdL and they were the ones listed as 6mm which I believe is the width of the arm where they clip on.

I was busy uploading them as I wrote then edited the post to put them in. Multitasker, me you know. I have all the metal tabs under control, in fact made and welded on the ones on the wing. It's just that bit as it passes the mechanism, it seems I will have to drop the cables below it or go through the triangle it makes.
I will measure the blades. It turns out that the spindles are really small, I can see why slightly later than this they put a bigger diameter on them.

Ok I had to go and have a look. My wiring simply sits in front of the bonnet release and not behind as I thought. I suppose you could run it through the bracket but I don't think it was originally. I suppose there is a risk of it snagging and shorting to earth?

Ran mine 'through' the bracket. Seemed the neatest solution, keeps the wire out of the way and there is plenty of room. If you are worried you can slit a length of tubing and slip it over the wire at that point.

At risk of becoming the bloke off The Fast Show (British reference from a long time ago) changing my mind every turn. Thanks for the replies and I won't say which way I will go.
Isn't life brilliant? I'll get me coat.

This is what I did - behind the hood latch and covered with wire tubing.
