Hi all
I have purchased an induction kit for my son but am having trouble fitting it .
this is the item .
(copy and paste into ebay search please as i cannot post links yet)
01-04 FIAT SEICENTO 1.1 MPI SPORTING AIR INDUCTION KIT

The car is a 51 plate shumaker and the problem is the alloy tube doesn't seem long enough and so there is no way of shutting the bonnet ,it doesn't seem as long as the one in the link.Am i being thick or am i missing something from the box .
I have emailed the seller but have had no reply as yet (it is christmas after all).Just wandered if anyone had used one of these before and had a similar problem.
regards jon

Your best bet is to post a photo of the induction kit & the engine bay of the car in question. A lot of the MPI Sei' induction kits are simply rebadged focus kits & thus may be tweaked for various reasons and make it incompatible with the Seicento engine bay.

Thx for the replys ,i will re assemble the kit and take some photos in situ and repost in a while .

All schumis are MPI for the forums veterans benefit of the forum, the car was released to coincide with his 2001 F1 title win, which is mpi country and had been for some time

We have imposters/fakes/confused people about should we see people saying 'i have a 98/99/00 sei schumacher'

I am aware of the launch date. I am also all too well aware of 'ringers'. Just wanted to make sure.

Cheers

PD

Definately a shcu ,definately an mpi, just thought i would clear that up first.

Anyway i have taken a few snaps and i've come to the conclusion that this is either completely the wrong kit as i can see no way it could possibly fit or i've been duped which seems unlikely judging by his feedback.

so youve gone from 1 ''bad'' to kit to an even worse one (in terms of perfromance)?

When people refer to these as a "focus kit" is that meaning it was for a Ford Focus, or its make?

Looking at the pics above, the metal pipe needs to go back a bit and then down behind the coil packs, while making room for a filter [which looks rather big to me!!]

Thx for the response although i am still very unsure how this could possibly fit ,the filter is indeed huge and will not fit in between the coil packs and the front panel at the angle shown in the photo. If anything the alloy tube is not long enough and would need extending somehow?.

This is the claim of the seller ,note the underlined for anyone else who is going to purchase one of these for a sei.As of now i have no idea what to do, does anyone ?.

I bought one of these a year ago. Won't fit because of the ABS.
Don't expect a reply as I didn't when I advised them about the ABS problem.
As you will see in their photo, No ABS.
I bought extra bends, offsets and straight conectors with the intent to cut up the ali tube to allow a reroute but the lots still in the shed.

thats a great point r.e the ABS as this willl more than likely be present on the schumi and not on majority of others, a point we have all missed until now.

Although the ABS is rubbish on sei removing it is surely out of question, especially to fit a kit.

This would also be relevent if you wished to fit a strut brace also
