Technical Headunit removal

The manufacturer is an italian company named GM production srl (http://www.gmproduction.it/). However i was not able to find the specific cable on the site. The ebay ad for the cable is:

I ordered the cable and the keys to exract the radio (both worked like a charm) through ebay and i received them in less than a week. So i would recommend them as sellers.

however it is in italian so any online translation tool might help you. There are a lot of pictures and diagrams though..

a quick question, do you see an electronic chip or component behind the big plug are are they just wires going out?

I only remember seeing a red fuse of some sort just next to the big plug. if you look at the first page of this thread you can see it on the picture.

I was talking about the cable, is it just 100% wires or is there an electronic component?

I'm asking because I built an AUX IN cable for a kenwood HU I have in my other car a while ago, and that required a resistor, not just wires.

did they give you a diagram with it by any chance?

yes its 100% wire. just the two plugs you see in the photo.. i only received the cable without any diagram...

Took about 8 days for lead and keys to come, but 2 minutes to fit!

Nicola of GM Production sent a personal message to say the items had been dispatched and would take about 10 days. Better than many (most? ) fleabay sellers!
