Good Morning,
I am sure that this question has been raised before but have been unable to find any threads.

1997 Ducato 2.5 TD

My question is how do the headlight adjusters work and how can you service or replace any parts of the system? I believe that they use fluid from the screen washer reservoir. How do you bleed the system?

The idea seems simple and maybe I'm being a bit slow, but it has me well foxed.

So many thanks to those of you that are able to reply, maybe one day I shall be an expert too.

My 1980 Porsche has hydraulic headlight adjustment. A closed system from Bosch, only available as a complete set with far too long plastic hoses, at a ridiculously high price. The actuators move the whole light unit up and down.
Around 1990 somebody simplified the adjustment by moving just the bulb a bit. That is done with a tiny electric motor and a position sensor, now common in all passenger vehicles.

Hi CDK,

Many thanks for your reply.

As you say sealed system, have now removed it and ordered replacement from Fleabay.

It's actually made by Hella and LHD models use part number 1301157080 or Hella own number 006-393-08
