Why only a 1.2 16v? This is quite some engine. We got out of it in fast road trim 119bhp.

I don't see why a change of hardware(gearbox) would effect the mapping on your car. I could be wrong though. I once had a mini one remapped to give an extra 30hp, and was told by the tuner that bmw reguarly update the ecu during maintainence, putting the car back to their map spec.
Don't know about Fiat though.
