the coilies were comparitively cheap for what they are. And good quality too. And the wheels were an ebay special that look good from a few metres away but not too good close up but they will do.

Persevere and you will get there Oakley

Yeah I am preserving. Been a great car until the last 6 months. Everything possible has broke and finances won't allow to fix them all.

It's just one of them things.

That is one nice looking Stio, real tidy and looks well looked after (y)
The alloys for me are just spot on and the car stance is pretty refined too with those coilovers. I do know you are pushing 160 bhp out of this JTD which is really impressive and the torque must be absolutely ridiculous, talk about pulling like a train :D

What was the overall drop on the coilovers if you dont mind me asking? 30/35/40??

Thanks guys.

I got the braces from Automac and they cost about £160 i think. the drop on the coilovers was about 50-60mm. The jtd sits lower on the front as standard anyway. Can't go any further cos of the braces. i think the lowest part of the front brace is about 70mm above the ground. It has only ground out a few times so isn't a major problem.

Have to say that i am very surprised that even on 18s the ride is still very compliant and not too stiff. The DTS coilover kit is spot on.

I need to get some shots of the dashboard as well with the guage cluster. I will try and get those tonight.

Needs lowered :p like the wheels, the 18s really finish the stance in a way that blades simply can't :(

Group buy for braces anyone? I wouldn't mind upper braces, raising my ride height to make way for under braces simply isn't an option though :D

heh .

I dunno, the 17's just don't seem to fill the arches as well, I think they deff look better an arathacite or however it's spelt though.

When I have the cash I plan to do my blades in gunmetal, unless I find some OZ Superturismo GT's in 18 inch format between now and then :p

Hijacking thread - mission accomplished, sorry, Ratty ;)
