Personally no, nothing you can do anyway is there?

I'd never go to windows or Android so no option but to stick with Apple.
This is something being imposed at a government level so applies to all phones and devices.

The government basically wanted a back door into something even Apple could not access, and so rather than build a work around they just switched that specific service off. Most users won’t even notice
 
Q for Apple users - are you concerned about Apple turning off its most secure encryption in the UK?
It’s a good wuestion, as it’s one of the reasons I like apple, it has, until now, always refused to allow a ‘back door’ into its operating systems and therefore your personal stuff…
However, it appears that this access will NOT interfere with apples normal security, so it will remain much better than android and MS to stop phishing, viruses etc etc, and, I did note that apple, as they did in the US and EU, successfully argued that you’d ’have to go through them’ to gain access, and that it would have to be a bloody good reason to do so…after all that, it may never really happen
