Hello, our Seicento Sporting 2001 gear stick pops out of higher gears after around 20 mins driving. Has anyone come across this issue & what would be the best course of action? Cheers.

Probably due to the previous owner leaving their hand on the gearknob whilst driving.

Normally it's a gearbox rebuild to sort, but worth checking the easier/cheaper stuff first/

Make sure all gear linkages are in good condition, not worn and well lubricated.
Check engine mounts are good.
Try changing the gearbox oil.
Make sure the shifter has no wear In it and isn't fouling on anything which may stop if fully engaging the gear correctly. lubricate if necessary.

See how you get on with those first

Given the size of the speakers that were left in 'boot' area, the previous owner may have been a boy racer! Thanks for your advice. This is where I will start.

Not always boy racers who have that habit. But it could be the gearbox has been abused also.

Try the things I have suggested. And hopefully it's a cheaper and easier fix that a replacement gearbox
