Hello everyone,
My first question here on this forum. I am Joris from the Netherlands and since today I have a problem with my front GP windshield wipers. They have stopped working during driving in the rain in the middle of the screen. When I move the switch nothing happens in all positions but a “click sound” can be heard in the front fuse box. I have checked all fuses and unplugged / replugged all connectors over there. Could this be a problem with the relay and if so; where is this particular relay located?
Anyone other recommendations?
Thanks so much for alle your help. Happy Christmas to all of you?

If the relais clicks in regular intervals, this suggest that

1. The resistive value in the steering column switch is ok
2. The body computer is ok
3. The wiring from the body computer to the relais is ok

EDIT: Just have a listen... if it clicks at the fuse box, it's likely there. Also called junction box, look here.

According to the function selected, Body Computer M1 sends the following control signals to the wiper motor N15:

- from pin 16 of connector E for fast operation;

- from pin 32 of connector E for slow and/or intermittent operation,

- pin 22 of connector A on the other hand, receives the earth signal coming from the motor end of travel cam which stops operation. The windscreen wiper motor N15 is then earthed.

Since the relais is clicking, a problem with the relais is less likely but not impossible.

I suspect the wiper motor is simply gone and needs to be replaced. You could try and move (without force) the wiper blades when the relais is clicking, but I doubt it will have any effect.

Hope this helps.

Hi Zardo, just found the time to buy a new windshield motor (€30). Installation was easy and you were right, it was the engine! Thanks again for your help! Greetings Joris
