Technical Front towing eye

I managed to get a couple of shots through the hole I drilled - just looks like a bit of box section to me - the towing eye is quite long but it doesn't even reach the end of the box section.....

That diesel looks different to the petrol 500, there's nothing on the lower bar

Perhaps as its listed as 500 L not a 500?
So it is must have clicked the wrong link
This should be more like it but neither should have the large void on the ops pictures

I seem to remember that haynes had nothing. Held on by the stupid annoying lower arm extension blocker. As it's towed from that point, I thought they would have given the bolt torques, but pretty sure there is nothing on them.

Rear beam bolt, unchanged, supports the tow bar and are M8

Had a look at my 2008 petrol.
The upper front crossmember looks symmetrical. Measuring in the hole it's 12cm to the female screw. eLearn shows remove and replace with M20x1.25x32 bolts torque 3.2/4.8daNm.

Wonder if the OP has looked far enough in. The foam buffer was I think a 2015 change so the void is a big gap.

Could be his tow screw tool is not the right one?
