They don't fit directly you'll need to drill some flat bar or box section or get someone to alter the seat bases, my friend had his seat bases (box type) cutdown for €80. There are nicer seats if you don't need the swivel.

Hi this seat on ebay says ideal for Ducato camper conversion in the ad, here is a link to the underneath of the seat, does this look compatible ??

How the heck do u attach pics grrrrrrrr

Look at picture number 3, see any rails, nothing will fit without somekind of work at the very very minimum you'll be drilling holes, probably you'' be adding box section or flat bar. Take a look at the t4 forum there are loads of examples.

Alas im not really very technically minded so is there anyone North west or Wales based you can recommend to fit some seats in for me?

Unless you get exactly the right seat, in which case its quick and easy to fit, I doubt if you will find any competent mechanic who wants to take the job on. Designing and fabricating supports, acquiring the right parts etc can be very time consuming, not a problem for someone doing their own as a hobby, but for a commercial garage charging by the hour its likely to produce a bill you would baulk at paying. They would rather do the usual everyday sort of work they have been trained to do, which they can do for a price that won't shock you.

Plenty of people around me that do that kind of work, coach builders, body shops, vehicle restorers. Pop into your nearest motorsport shop they'll be able to recommend someone. Or call your local coach builders. Or find somone that converts cars for disabled people they are always installing oddball seats or modifying seats and rails.

Depends how much work is involved. If you were fitting it yourself you might be able to assess this before buying the seat. Seat and seat belt security could be a matter of life and death and is an MOT item so it must be done properly.
If you are dependent on someone else fitting it I would keep searching until you find the right seat.

Nope, looks like bedford or similar seat base probably pre crashtesting days. Wouldn't trust that flimsy looking junk in a crash in fact i don't trust any of those central bolt swivels. You should have a look at the toyota, volkswagen factory swivels in comparison!

Anyway those seats are godawful, if its just a swivel you want just buy a swivel plate I have the fasp ones in my van.:

Actually, better link as this guy sells the bolt kit saves you chasing down countersunk and dome heads;

You still need to use a hacksaw and drill a couple of holes but its a simple job:

Well I fitted the single seat and followed precisely the instructions on the DVLA website returning the registration document V5C to Swansea to have the seating capacity changed from 3 to 2.
(I wondered if it might fail its next MOT? as it is no longer fit to carry 3 people as stated on the V5C)
Three weeks later I am still waiting for the return of the V5C which is now needed urgently for the van to go abroad. When I finally got through to DVLA Swansea they couldn't even tell me whether they had received it or not and suggested I wait another six weeks before contacting them again. :bang:

Just stick back in the two seater until its sorted.
My problem now is I have no V5C which is needed to take the vehicle abroad.
I have managed to contact DVLA again and have now been told they cannot find it so it must have been 'lost in the post' :rolleyes: (this would be only time in my life I have ever lost anything in the post) and suggested I apply for another V5C at a cost of £25 which should arrive within 4 weeks :bang:
I wonder how anyone can run a business in England when such a simple administrative task is so problematic and time consuming.
