5000k looks exactly what I need.
Are the ones on ebay genuine ones or fakes as on the thread I done about bulbs a guy said that the ones on ebay do not have the correct markings on them.

But as long as they do the job I dont mind, and if they brake or blow I know then I have learnt a lesson of buying cheap ones and can just buy the real ones then.

but on ebay they are only £15 so you cant go wrong for that price just to try them out

@Mort:- these curve lights you speak of... i know there is a option on new Volvo trucks where if the fogs are on and the indicators are put on, the spot light on only that side illuminates to aid with visibility around the corner. is this what your curve lights are or am i mistaken?

No, not that fancy. The Stilo has a curve light in the OEM cluster. Usually cars come with fogs low to the ground, but on the Stilo they are too high to get underneath the fog, and really don't work very well in - well, fog. The fog just lights up as a white wall. But they are great for curvy non-lit sideroads. I am a very active user of these lights. I think it's regular 55W H1 (or H7, can't remember) bulbs in there.

One rule wipes the other rule out and backwards: In Norway, fogs are not allowed to be used with dipped beam, only with parking lights, for daytime use - not with dipped beam. And when it's dark, it is not allowed to drive without dipped beam, so fogs are mainly used for daytime energy (battery) saving (people think) - but what they don't know is that its the same watts for both bulbs.

you see these 'curve' lights is what us UK boys know as 'Fog' lights ;) i wouldn't know if they're useless in fog as i have never known it bad enough here to use either the fronts or rears!
