Tax his land, Tax his bed, Tax the table, At which he's fed. Tax his tractor, Tax his mule, Teach him taxes Are the rule. Tax his work, Tax his pay, He works for peanuts anyway! Tax his cow, Tax his goat, Tax his pants, Tax his coat. Tax his ties, Tax his shirt, Tax his work, Tax his dirt. Tax his tobacco, Tax his drink, Tax him if he Tries to think. Tax his cigars, Tax his beers, If he cries Tax his tears. Tax his car, Tax his gas, Find other ways To tax his ass. Tax all he has Then let him know That you won't be done Till he has no dough. When he screams and hollers; Then tax him some more, Tax him till He's good and sore. Then tax his coffin, Tax his grave, Tax the sod in Which he's laid... Put these words Upon his tomb, Taxes drove me to my doom...' When he's gone, Do not relax, Its time to apply The inheritance tax.

So relevant today...

Indeed, so very relevant today! It's quite shocking how many "piggies" manage to get their "snouts" in the trough when someone dies. I'm in the middle of it all right now with my brother having passed on last year. He paid all his taxes, like the rest of us, while he was alive so why should the government be allowed to conduct a raid (not a lot less than half - 44% - remember) on the assets he's left behind?

Especially as the people at the top of the ladder have schemes set up by their accountants so they pay minimal taxes if any and that in tax havens so this Country doesn't even benefit a little.

Im afraid Im "stick to stock" rigid. I have yet to see many (any?) mods that improve much on most things. I dont include the racing stuff. Fiats are a bit different as Abarth changed normal, and the evolutionary development lends itself to swapping engines and gearboxes. Some styling evlotions have been horrid, but there are plenty of good ones to pick from to gently mod a Fiat without spoiling it..

I totally agree. It really is the ultimate insult to law abiding and tax paying citizens. My way of dealing with this is to spend and lend the lot so I have nothing left for them to peck at. I have decided to work any money as family funds aiming at minimal tax and no interest payments for my tribe. Seeing the stock markets crashing and savings declining reinforces my view to run this line.

Unless you're a charity or a religious organization in which case you are tax exempt.

Honestly I feel if they are going to keep applying taxes to new things, then the first place they should start is religious institutions, these independent churches that keep popping up and building massive multi million pound buildings as they take a cut of every member's salary, they are raking it in and non of it is taxed.

So how do I register 'The International Church of Panda Nutters' and become exempt...

All Forumer and in fact all Fiat drivers are honorary parishioners, only £10 a week in the collection and you are a goodun and will enter the Kingdom of Pandas!;)

Please let me know if you find out and, in the meantime, add me to the list of devotees. Being Scottish, might I suggest a £5 donation would be sufficient?
