My excuse is that I have my end of semester assignment and two exams coming up so not had time to post piccies.

Ok I've started on this now.
Any link in the righthand bar which is new OR has had new posts since you last logged in will now be in bold, so you can see easly any updated threads/ads.
Not quite a complete solution as they will stay bold for the whole time you are logged on, so if someone posts again whilst you are still online you won't know (as it won't change).
This will be done in stage two, where they are bold if unread, not based on login time
Once that bar is done, the same code can be used to make the top image bar

A few more little updates done (some padding, colour changes) and I reckon that looks pukka now.The classifieds will soon follow the same ruling (if you've not read them, they will bold) however the data needed to do that is only just starting to be collected (so old ads are not compatible) which means I won't turn it on for a few weeks (or we'd lose all the old ads).
Ah what the hell, I've coded both checks in.
All new adverts now will stay bold until you view them for the first time, old ads can't do this, but over time they will clear out and only new will be left
