Hi Folks
I've a 2012 500 and I have some LED strips that I want to use as footwell lights, so they illuminate with the sidelights/headlights. Easiest place to tap for a 12v feed for this? Was thinking a piggyback fuse in one of the headlamp fuses at the fuse box but if there's an easier way I'm all ears...

Power socket even if not illuminated has a side light feed( there if you specified a lighter type socket rather than just power ), though I'm not sure how much power you can draw?
The cig lighter? Mine doesn't light up so I'd assumed it was just igniton fed. It has a side light feed? That's great if so as it's accessible.

This video made me think cigarette lighter was just powered with ignition though as only seems to have two wires

My power only socket non illuminated has the side light feed wire there un connected when I replaced it with a lighter type socket I used the loose wire that's the illumination feed, our car is a 59, my not be there on younger cars?
Remove the 4 nuts, 3 in the front half, 1 in the rear under the rubber mats/under hand brake, do rear first and pull backwards, also 2 screws in part under gearstick trim

Thanks! Mines a 2012. I'll take a look. So a loose two pin connector next to the cig lighter?

I have footwell lights wired into the cigarette lighter. They are on all the time, but you can only see them at night. Personally, I would say that wiring them to come on with the sidelights is unnecessary effort.
