Technical Flashing Mileometer

Does anyone have a problem with a flashing mileometer and the blue and me kit not working

Ah.....just had this same problem this morning.
Turned the car off......restarted and then the mileometer stopped flashing and all was ok.
But......all my songs on the blue&me media player had been rearranged out of order......so presumably there is a link between the two?
Can somebody give us 2 guys their expert opinion.......

Yep had it today driving home from work. I stopped and turned off the ignition and turned it back on and it stopped flashing?? "Great!!!" I thought to myself another problem!!!! My brakes have just started to squeal like a new born as well....Jeeeezzzeee!!!!!

If anyone can identify WHY....GOD WHY!!! (and breathe..) this is happening then that would be cool!

yeah.....coincidence.
what's good is the car doesn't cut out and still runs perfect.
This ain't about poor earth connections.....I feel a software update coming on!
Just gotta wait.

Sounds like it needs a proxi-alignment. Not a major problem, just needs a visit to the dealership and a hook up to Examiner.

ive seen mine flash about 3 or 4 times in the 7 months ive had my car but i dont have the blue and me functions so it cant be linked ?

my odometer is always flashing...piece of c***.
Also my display keeps showing a tape deck a????? aint even got a tapedeck

Sounds like it needs a proxi-alignment. Not a major problem, just needs a visit to the dealership and a hook up to Examiner.

Think of proxy-alignment as sychronisation of the vehicles modules/nodes...the body computer has to see/recognise all of these,fuel ECU,door nodes,steering ECU etc...

Hi,

The exact same thing has been happening on my GP 1.9 Sporting. Seems to coincide with the blue and me system playing up. i.e. it has started not allowing phonecalls or system access via the steering wheel buttons and only allows you to mute the radio until you switch off and back on again but this keeps happening :bang:!!!

Also, hasn't been updating new songs that i've been adding to the ipod???

Will be taking it back to the dealer soon but in the meantime can anyone tell me if a visit to the dealer solved the problem??

Yes it did.........there's an update to Blue&Me.....cured the problem.

i have the same problem now and again but i just switch it to show the miles per gallon or something different as i do not think that it is a major fault or anything.

i used to have this problem all the time but then i sent my car into the dealer with a door lock problem and it has not reoccured since, i wonder if they ran some updates at the same time.

Great! Another Microsoft f*ckup! I have a 2 week-old New Bravo and the odometer flashes like every other day, and shutting the car off and back on won't always fix the problem.
Also, most of the times I have the blue-tooth of my cell on (Nokia 6300), the Media Player crashes and the radio comes on, and until I stop/start the car again blue&me won't work again, and even sometimes, the song that was playing on the Media Player is continuously displayed on the screen but the blue&me controls are totally unresponsive.
Seems like a software upgrave will be necessary. Anyone has had this/similar problem fixed?

Simon.....this is the GP section not bravo.

Sounds like your car needs to be proxy-aligned,take it back to garage if you have issues with it.
