My 2004 1.3 Multijet Punto Dualogic has a big problem with the Selespeed unit. Long story, not important. The replacement is very expensive but an end-of-line service from the examiner gets me another 100-150 trouble-free miles. So I'm wondering if I could just do this myself regularly using FiatECUScan? It looks like it should work on my car but wanted to confirm compatibility. Also I can't find any reference to the end-of-line service itself. It's the process where the car pushes systematically through all the gear changes over several minutes.

Do you think this would work?

I'm not 100% sure with the Punto Dualogic box but I know the system doesn't support the Panda Dualogic box, so I'd check the fiatecuscan site. Might be worth Going onto the forum on there to ask Yani if there are any plans to support it if it isn't already.

Jon.

The EOL process is just an electronic process done at the end of the production line to program the car's computer with the systems fitted to the car. It only needs to be done once unless anything is removed from, or added to the car.

I looked on the FiatECUScan site and I think my car's covered. But you're right, the forum there may be my best bet, thanks.

Under normal circumstances this may be so, but it's the only thing that gets my car working at the moment. It isn't purely electronic: the gear changes are clearly audible. My car goes from refusing certain gear changes to running fine for a while. Crazy way to get a car going, but if it works...

The clutch not on it's way out?

Replaced clutch; no difference. Gearbox stripped, Selespeed unit serviced, and various earths, contacts, and switches checked and cleaned. So when it works it's very smooth. But then it doesn't work. Only thing that made a big difference was sorting a bad earth on one rear cluster. And then it went wrong again.

Thread here if you might have any more ideas: https://www.fiatforum.com/punto/277194-trying-source-replacement-dualogic-unit-gearbox.html

Part running £1100 with no guarantee of a fix especially if it turns out to be an elusive bad contact. Hoping this EOL idea might pan out.

I posted the question of an EOL for a Punto Multijet Dualogic on the FiatECUScan forum but no reply. It doesn't seem like it will be compatible. :( And now my back up car is going to hell too. Fun times.

So I bought me a copy a FiatECUscan to find that the version I have been sent is the same free copy you can get from the net so pretty much paid £33 for a friggin lead I could of made for about £3, anyhoo ran the software and it says activate but it don't say where to get the product key from and I really don't wanna be forking out yet more money if its gonna cost me a bomb, anyone wanna help me out here? It's me or FES don't support proxy alligment on Fiat Stilo Mjet's ?

Is there anyone within somerset travelling distance with fiatecuscan full version that would do a proxy alinment for me to sort out my new cluster showing the correct mileage.
Would pay your fuel costs or i guess i could buy the full version.
