Technical fiat won’t go into gear.

Hi I got my fiat 500 2014 last year and it started not going into gear properly, took it to garage and they suggested a new clutch. Got a new clutch in January and it’s still having the same issue 2 months down the line so isn’t looking like it was the clutch, anyone have any idea as to what’s causing this issue?

Simple disgnostic :

Engine off.. Try all 6 gears

Then with engine running.. try all 6

Is it easier with engine off?

What engine, manual gearbox, can you select no problem engine off, clutch hydraulics well known to give your symptoms if 1.2 manual

There's a joint in the pipe under the passenger wing it's known to leak, also the slave and master cylinder can give problems at this age, best to replace both, unusually the parts are not cheap due to lack of supply and demand

Compression connector is a good cheap fix to replace the pipe joint. Fleabay is a good source.
