It allows you to use the cento crank pulley. The 16v oil pump sits the crank sensor closer in, with the 60-2 teeth on the inner edge. This sits the belt further out and then the belt catches the engine mount, and doesn't line up with the alternator.

By swapping the oil pump you can remove this problem.

I was lazy on both the 1.2 and 1.4, and just cut off the crank sensor mount from the oil pump housing, and made a custom braket.

Ah, gotcha.

Anyone know if there are any internal differences in the FIRE oil pumps, engine to engine?

Are the cam's the 1.2 16v cams?

They are nice and cheap at about £350 for the pair. Just wondering what the specs are etc.

C&B do a cam designed for the 1368cc, specifically, but it is a LOT more money at about £700.

I wonder if the 1.2 cams are actuall of much benefit in a 1368cc?
