I have no reverse gear in my scudo would it be the cable for the reverse gear or something else any advice it would be great.

As a final test under the bonnet/hood, once I worked out which way the cables moved for reverse gear, I would disconnect the cable and see if pushing the arm into reverse at the gearbox gave you drive or not.
Hopefully just outside linkage.:)

My only real experience was with a 1981 panda 45.. Basic old design 🙂

There were adjuster rods,
and it's inability to select reverse when warm (but perfect cold)
could be adjusted out with some experimentation 👍

I am wondering if there could be an option of adding "packing" to the cable to take out a decade of wear 🤔

On my 2010 1.6 Doblo I fitted new gear cables, there was very minimal adjustment at the gear lever end for one cable only if I recall.
Re the Scudo, mine is a 2.0 litre version with the Peugeot engine and six speed gearbox, but it's raining now so only got a quick look, so couldn't see much under the bonnet.
