Scudo Fiat scudo 2012 undiagnosed electrical fault

Good morning.
I'm still having trouble with my fiat scudo 2012.
Symptoms are lights on constantly stereo off,turning over but not starting.
Have checked all fuses all ok. Bugsy mike kindly suggested a multi ECU scan and to ask on here for some more information from guys experience on here.
Any I should be looking at in particular.
Any advice greatly appreciated

Hi,

Do you mean headlights constantly on ? What is the dashboard doing ? headlights stuck on would suggest a problem with the body controller / computer.. have you checked the fuses by looking for voltage at both sides ? are there any that don't have power but look like they should have ?
Any diagnostic tool should be able to give you a rough idea whats happening here, but if you intend using multiecuscan you will need to buy an elm interface and adapters (unless you rewire the obd plug in the elm327) and a license to look at most other modules. not expensive but just bear this in mind..

professional diagnostic tools will go through all modules and pinpoint any that aren't communicating.. but if using multiecuscan, start with the engine, see why it's not happy (immobilizer / body controller comms ?) and go from there..

Thanks for your reply and the info on the diagnostic tools.
Stereo is off and lights on constantly yes.
Dash board seems fine although doors click to lock or unlock when I turn the key to the first point.

Hello Iain,

ok.. not sure what's going on with the door locks there.. by the sounds of it there is an issue with the BCM / body controller or comms to it.. the next step would really be a look with diagnostics to see if there's anything obvious jumping out.. then start checking supplies.. a wiring diagram might help here.. sorry I can't be of any more specific help as I haven't seen this fault before..
