Hi, guys
I've converted my Fiat Ducato 3.0 comfort-matic Bluebird minibus 2012 into a 6 seater campervan. After I re-build the engine and done lots of other problems, the bus was running fine for 15 min but when I comeback later after 2 weeks, the gearbox couldn't shift into Neutral position. The shifter can be moved mechanically speaking but on the dashboard it is still showing as on 1st gear! Because of this, when you turn the key into ignition, won't do anything:(
A local garage checked the fuses and other wires but it seems to working fine.
What are the possible issues here and how to remove manually the shifter into neutral as I need to move the vehicle asap, pls?!
I can only hope that someone had the same issue and could share this with me/us!

There could be causes like: the hydraulic pump does not start (can you hear it for a short while when the drivers doors is first opened or the ign.key is turned?), or there is lack of hydraulic oil in the rectangular container, or lack of DOT4 fluid in the little round container for the clutch, or faulty brake pedal switch, or sensor or actuator (there are several) error, or faulty or loose cable or connector, or ECU error, and more.
Apart from the ones that are relatively easy to check, i.e. if the pump cannot be heard - is the fuse and relay OK, are the fluid levels OK, is the brake light switch OK; one pretty soon needs help from a diagnostic tool as already suggested.
