As this is posted in the 850 car section at top of page, I took it to mean the rear engine rear wheel drive vehicles of the 1970s/80s
So perhaps if it is a Fiat Ducato engine going into a Fiat Ducato then if you post in the Fiat Ducato section we may be able to advise more accurately
I am guessing now that you have a Fiat Ducato with the Peugeot 120hp engine (I have a Fiat Scudo with that engine) and you are inquiring regarding fitting the 2.3 Multijet Fiat based engine?
If that is the case then whilst nothing is impossible, you may find it a very hard job even after you have finished the mechanical aspect , the ECU for the Fiat engine will have totally different requirements to the Peugeot based engine.
By the way whilst there are many on Forum with specific later Fiat Ducato information, my experience is more general on many makes of vehicle over more than 50 years in the motor trade, so not model specific to your requirements.
For reference here is a Fiat 850 photo
