Technical Fiat ducato 2.8td 2005 ignition not switching off

Our fiat ducato 2.8jtd 2005 based Motorhome intermittently continues to run when switching off ignition and removing key.Can stall it to stop as only ticking over.
Any ideas?

First I would check if the ignition switch is still supplying power to the ECU etc. when switched off, as some times a worn ign. switch can cause it.
Another thing with a Motorhome is if a faulty split circuit charging fault is back feeding ignition.
However I am sure there are many on Forum who can advise.

Thanks I’ll have a look at the feed to the ecu,next time the fault occurs.

The engine bay fusebox, where main injection relay is fitted, can be a source of problems.

Thanks, something else to look into.At present I have a feeling it might be the ignition switch.Vehicle has covered 125k miles so could be a little worn.Intermittent faults are the worst to fathom.
