Technical Fiat bravo cd player wont read cds help Urgent

Hi all, my fiat bravo t jet 150 dynamic wont read cds. Can anyone give me any advice. I havnt had the car long. The radio works fine. Is there a setting i can change to rectify this problem. The car does have blue and me, i dont know if this affects anything

If your handy with electronics try turn up the pot on the laser just turn it a tiny quarter turn at a time and test too see if it will read discs again

this increases the power to the laser although it may burn the laser out quicker

but if its not working anyway you have nothing too lose,

perhaps also a cd lens cleaner might be worth trying

Tried lens cleaner cd. makes no odds. punching it will just make matters worse lol. the car is going back to the garage tomorrow as its still under warranty so hopefully they will sort it. just thought maybe someone on here has had the same problem

I wasn't kidding. Smack that thing while it's trying to read a cd.

Cd players sometimes get stuck and a good smacking is all it takes to bring it back to normal.

a good thump always fixed an old analogue telly...on the correct corner obviously

Thumping it is good, praying sometimes works. I find the best thing though, is just filling it up with coins.

In all seriousness. There arnt many reasons for CD players not to eork, it's either the laser, or the disk motor. Can you hear it spinning inside when you put a cd in?

yes i believe its spinning. well its off to the garage today. they can bloody put a new one in or there will be hell on
