Hey I got a fiat bravo 1.4 T-jet 120 dualogic and the first day I got it it was raining and I was stuck on an steep uphill with traffic when the traffic moved i pushed the accelerator and the car started bumping like it did with yours but I got a message saying clutch overheat and i couldn't drive the car anymore so i turned it off waited for the clutch to cool down and then took and alternative route. i think the problems with the clutch so i just wanted to ask did you find out how to fix the problem the only solution I found is to accelerate really slowly in an uphill on wet conditions my tires and continental contipremiumcontact 2 which are good for wet conditions according to the continental website

dont worry i had the same issue as yours (and the same car)the first week i got the car..i was driving on a hill and it was congested so i kept the car from rolling backward not by using the brakes but by slightly pressing the gas and i got the same message.. i pulled over and checked the manual it stated that while driving on a hill do not keep the car from rolling by pressing on the gas but rather by braking to avoid clutch overheating..anyways after i had finished reading i took off again and i never met that problem again.anyway this doesnt have to do anything with your tires its all about the transmission
also dont worry if the gearbox is a bit clumsy at first mine took a while but is now shifting seamlessly (tip: do not shift urself while its on automatic the car always shifts better)
hope this helps

It is okay to shift manually even when she is running on automatic setting, just remember to keep the right foot on the gas during the manual shift (unlike a manual car), as the computer will do the throttle adjustment for you, the shift can still rather smooth.

well i have the same problem with all the cars i've driven. when the road is wet and i try to start a bit faster than normal (or when uphill) the wheels spin and start jumping like u described. depending on the model and conition of the tires, this is normal. when it slips it momentarily finds grip, jumps abit, then sliping again, etc.
just try to start a bit more gentle and make sure not to wheelspin on the wet

Hey , i've had my Bravo for 1 month now, and i've been experiencing some gear box issues, i thought the repair shop had the problem fixed, but as i was driving my car today , all of a sudden the gears wouldnt shift until they reached 6 rpm , then i got this message saying " clutch over SOMETHING" is didnt have the time to read the rest of the message , but i doubt it said heated , since i wasnt going uphill . I turned the engine off and started it again , and the car went back to normal .
Any ideas on what the problem cud be?

3amatan the gearbox takes a while to shift smoothly (1-2 months)..when u find that the car is lagging just shift urself (specially at cold mornings)..and also turn on the economy button near the gearbox to lower the rpm when shifting..but dont worry the car will shift by itself when u push the rpm up high enough to protect the engine(3ashan mayfawetsh)
omatra cant fix this issue if its not occurring when they're checking the car, they probably only told you they found nothing.
i also never had this problem again after i let the car cool down, and generally only had some very minor problems that only happened once.
overall u will find the gearbox is great (unlike the astra), but u have to know that its different from an automatic.
hope ive helped

Finally, I met some people who really understood what's going on with my car. Moreover recently i had the clutch overheat error massage. I think its the time for us to ask a specialist because the dealer gets blind when you try to explain your problem. Anyone in this forum can lead us to someone can help or shall we direct our complains to Fiat/ Italy???

well if it helps, all the cases of clutch overheating ive heard of until now came from new cars, so maybe its got something to do with it.

U seem unlucky with your gearbox really. ive never heard of someone having those problems bas u dont need to worry as long as its under warranty (or as long as it doesnt happen again)
As for the cup holder...fe3lan la ta3leek

well if ur car has a chassis no starting with 43 (unlike me) mafrud u can play an ipod directly from the blue&me hub.
el ragel el fi share3 dmesh2 could be better than omatra...bas the problem is that he cant change anything in ur car because of the warranty and believe me ull need it.
