Does anyone know what is the right shock absorber/coil spring for this car?It seems like I am hitting a brick wall every time that I am searching for the parts. Thanks

So what I've done is I went to eurocarparts and order the front shock absorbers, back shock and springs. The ones that were coming with my reg number were kyb.I got the parts and on the front wouldn't fit.The holes that connect to the wheel hub were closer to each other than the old part.Eventualy they got me sachs parts and they fit fit.I couldnt tell if they are for the sport model tough.Anyway,I've came across another problem after replacing shocks, mounts and antiroll bars on the front.Sometimes, ussualy in the morning when is still a bit cold(Scotland) there is a strange knocking when going over speed bumps and sometimes if I brake harder to come to a stop, after releasing the brake pedal it does the same noise although is not as noticeable.thanks

Hi,

I have just had mine replaced (front) and the garage had tried 3 different ones but none were good so ended up to order them from FIAT as it seems only OEM will fit.

Do you know what was the reason why they didn't fit?How much did that cost you?

Hi,

They were €130 each. I think FIAT did not want aftermarket parts or something I though mine was unique being sport spec and who ever got it from the dealership made some extra but in this case nope just OEM will fit.

Long shot, have you checked the exhaust is mounted properly. A busted hanger could cause a strange knocking sound going over bumps and on hard stops.

I have changed them not long ago.You can point that the noise is coming from the front. Its after I changed the mounts. Can they be faulty ?and why is it usually in the morning/wet/colder weather?

Do you by any chance know the part number for the new ones?thanks

Sorry they ordered it and everything, if you want to do it yourself then just go to the closest dealership and they should be able to order it for you by your chassis number or by the reg number.

I've already changed mines. It was just to check if they were the same as the old ones that I had on the car.

Could be before the pipe has expanded due to an increase in temperature. Its really impossible to say, as I said, a long shot.

I had a look and there is no sound coming from the exhaust. Thanks for the tips.I will go Sunday to national tyres as they do free suspension checks, maybe they will find what is wrong and if anything needs replaced.
