That's not what I said at all. I just said the 500 is more expensive hence why the Italians go for the immensely popular Panda - most of the drivers in those cities use the car to get from A to B - that's what an Italian told me. So please don't label me as a "500 person" who seems to think Panda owners don't care about their car. :)

I'm sorry but I don't see how else to interpret your post.

the Panda seems to be more popular than the 500 in cities - but this is evidently because the Italians like to have a car that they don't have to worry about getting scraped or scratched on the city streets - if they all had 500s, they'd be worried about scratching it as it's that bit more expensive than the Panda.

LOL. And I wouldn't believe what an Irish man tells you either. :)
A lot of the Spanish when they park their cars don't seem to fully engage the handbrake or in some cases don't leave the car in gear so when they're parked in the 'city' - the car can take a bit of 'touch parking'. If you look around the likes of a place like Fuengirola where a lot of the cars are quite modest - their cars are 'in bits'. I wonder what that 'Italian' would say they do in their own country.:)
